capitol reef...

berg and i headed down to capitol reef last week to do some more camping with berg's family. if you've never been to capitol reef national park, i suggest you check it out. it's the only free national park in utah, and there is so much to see and do. you can even pick fresh fruit in their orchards and eat all you want for free! seriously, if you ever want to go camping down there...tell me and we can go together. enjoy some pictures from our trip:
this is a picture of booz in his kennel on the drive home... i think we wore him out.

i'm still getting the hang of this.

so, when i looked at my post below (mind you, it took me about 20 years to post), i realized that it wasn't set up like i wanted. i am a joke. i swear i will not always suck so bad...

catching up...

wow--i am the worst. my goal when i started blogging was that i was going to post at least every couple days. obviously, i did not reach that goal. that said, i'm going to have to catch you up on exciting things that i've done over the last few months since i last posted. here it goes...
1. berg and i took booz on a hike up to silver lake on the most perfect hiking day of the year. it was beatiful, and booz got a much-needed and much-deserved swim in the lake.
berg and booz on the way up the trail - booz couldn't be more excited
booz cooling off in the stream that runs along the trail
silver lake...isn't it beautiful? well worth the hike
booz taking a dip in the lake 2. we went on a family camping/fishing trip with my family to potter's ponds. i didn't see harry there, which was a big disappointment, but we did have fun being in the mountains and relaxing.
berg and justice showing off their king salmon 3. since our havasupai trip got kicked to the curb (i'm still bitter about that), berg and i decided to visit one of our favorite places, zion national park, with our friend ryan. we hiked the narrows from the bottom up, and let me tell you, it was no walk in th park. when we did this hike a couple years ago, the water was much shallower and much warmer. however, it was still awesome and so fun. if you've never done this hike, let me tell you...it is one of the most unique and beatiful hikes i've ever been on. here are some pictures from our adventure:
berg and i (nhs=national honor society...i know, i'm so smart)
ryan and i braving the treacherous waters
a great view of the narrows 4. we grew a garden this yearand just recently began enjoying the fruits of our labor.
this is the very first cucumber we plucked from our garden. i never realized how much i love this veggie! i'm starting to think they should be called "cuc-YUM-bers." 5. i graduated from nursing school! i'll officially be an RN if i pass my test that's next week. wish me luck. 6. we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary in may. i honestly don't even remember what we did, but i'm sure it was great because i was with berg.
